Tech-geeks rejoice as the Google Pixel 2 was released this past fall. Google aimed to capture the artistic beauty of the phone by collaborating with emerging artists to create a series of murals and matching phone cases. Overall Murals produced the artwork designed by Petra Cortright in Venice and Silver Lake, Los Angeles.
Cortright’s abstract paintings are composite images, sourced from Google Images and then made visually appealing from the artist’s spin of each piece. These bold murals were the backdrops of many social media posts by Angelenos.
