HBO’s Animals is back for Season 2, with an even darker take on the underground lives of NYC’s most cynical critters. The first season of this dark comedy focused on making small jokes, mocking the human race. However, Season 2, takes a more insightful approach, by questioning the significance of individuals’ mortality, in comparison to the grand scheme of life.

Stationed alongside the Williamsburg waterfront, the crew was lucky enough to be painting in the odd 70 degree weather of this year’s February. The cyan tinted hand paint depicted the many animated characters who are featured in the show. The mural of giant animals grabbed the attention of pedestrians, joggers, cyclists and drivers; even the show’s creators came out for a selfie that was posted to social media.
