Beck Morning Phase

Morning Phase

Morning Phase is the twelfth studio album by American musician Beck, released February 2014 on Capitol Records. Intended to evoke the imagery of his previous companion album, Sea Change, the artwork for this album also featured a close-up headshot, but overlaid with a more muted, sepia-toned wash of colors to complement the folksy, intimate, and acoustic-driven sonic palette.

Following a successful launch campaign, which includes this hand painted Brooklyn piece, Morning Phase debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, eventually becoming Beck’s second highest charting album in the United States, after Guero (2005).
