Pink is a controversial color. Reductionists dismiss pink as a cliched marker for girls touting other shades as a modern alternative. Although many hues have vied to become “the new pink,” it persists as the quintessential color of femininity. In a word, pink is iconic. It’s no surprise then that pink is the signature color of House of Dior, the preeminent luxury goods retailer and fashion house. Their new line of hybrid gloss lipsticks Dior Addict Stellar Shine achieve superior shine without the stickiness of traditional gloss. The line of lipsticks is so named because once you notice the hydrating power this little wonder has, you won’t be able to stop putting it on your lips. With its tantalizing vanilla scents, you might even be tempted to take a bite out of your favorite shade.
House of Dior hosts a who’s who of Hollywood royalty as its brand ambassadors but a product this cutting edge deserves a befitting representative. That person could be none other than the incomparable Cara Delevingne. It is our privilege to bring the pout of it-girl Cara to the fashion capital of the world, New York City. Our muralists painted her visage (twice) in a street-level diptych featuring the ultra vibrant hot pink named Be Dior designed by Peter Philips, Dior Make-up’s creative and image director, to be universally flattering. Through hand paint, we brought a simple but photorealistic copy of Ms. Delevingne’s trademarked eyebrows, captivating eyes and lips to life. The print beneath her unmistakable face invites us all to be “Be Dior. Be Pink.” This mural shows the world why from pale rose to hot hues Dior has created a shade for anyone to embrace their inner superstar.
