POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking painters with experience in painting murals and signage at a large scale. They will report to the senior painter or management in the field. Ideally this person has very strong pictorial and lettering skills, along with color-matching and paint mixing skills. This person is hard-working, amenable, and able to be on their feet for extended periods of time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Responsible for exceptional artistry and maintaining safety and aesthetic quality controls, while serving as a positive representative of the company to members of the public.

• Prepare patterns, color-match & mix paint, produce murals & sign painting

• Light Construction - Set up scaffolding, work on ladders, lift objects up to 80 lbs, operate aerial lifts, light carpentry

• Painters work in teams of 2-6, year-round, and in all weather conditions.

Qualifications: 

• Painting Portfolio - showing advanced lettering and/or photorealistic reproduction skills (if you have them)

• Ability to paint FAST and efficiently on tight deadlines provided

• Physically fit - able to stand for 4-12 hours at a time and safely lift objects up to 80lbs

• Reliable, prompt, responsible, safety-oriented, genuine pride & pleasure in work done well

• Flexible - willing to work a variety of days/hours, under tight deadlines/short notice

• Fearless - mural painting sometimes requires working on a lift or scaffold, at great heightsValid Driving License - Ability to operate company vehicles, and other large vehicles such as cargo vans, pick up truck, etc

• Willing to travel out of town

• Open schedule - able to work for up to 7 days or more at a time

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Team Player - communicative, sturdy, and naturally inclined to support your teammates

• Technologically proficient - Should have possession of a smartphone. Any Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop,etc abilities are a plus

• Equipment - experience using or setting up block and tackle rigs, motor rigs, or operation of aerial lifts

• Certifications - Suspended scaffold user and OSHA 30

• Experience with sign paint enamels and oil enamels

• Lastly, painters are expected to be able to think on their feet, meet tight deadlines, work around any issues, and be proactive
