BRIEF

Some things simply can’t be replaced. A Porsche is one of them.

For collectors, enthusiasts, racers, and artists alike, driving one is a joy unlike any other. In 1975, a journalist captured that feeling perfectly: “A Porsche is like no other car, and if you want one, there’s no substitute.”

That line became Porsche's tagline: There is no substitute. We brought it to life across five hand painted murals in five cities nationwide, each showing a sleek Porsche cutting down the open road in all its glory.

BUILD

Overall Murals transformed five prominent walls, from towering high-impact facades to street-level walls, into Porsche murals that capture the feeling of being behind the wheel.

Each site sat in a busy central neighborhood: DTLA, SoHo, Union Square, SoMa, and Poncey-Highland. These are places where people move through the city every day to commute, dine out, and enjoy themselves, putting the murals directly in their path.

REVEAL

Overall Murals artist painted each wallscape by hand, revealing a Porsche in a new landscape at every location. Each scene highlights a distinct side of the Porsche driving experience and is paired with its own line.

Passersby documented the process as it unfolded, drawn in by a craft that mirrors the creativity and engineering behind every Porsche. The painting itself became part of the experience.

IMPACT

Coast to coast, the five murals generated more than 3.1M+ impressions, carrying the “no substitute” message across the country and turning heads with scenes that make you want to hit the road.

Mixing high-impact with street-level walls helped the campaign reach more people and spark more shared moments. The neighborhoods were deliberate choices, placing Porsche in front of design-minded urban audiences right where they live, work, and play.
