  • Doritos, SOLID BLACK

Doritos < Back SOLID BLACK Overview Service Outdoor Advertising, Overall Creative industry CPG markets Atlanta, Chicago Wall(s) 2 Walls impressions 533K+ Doritos is using its platform to elevate Black voices in the fight against racial injustice with its latest campaign ‘Solid Black’. The initiative includes a handful of murals across the country in areas that are symbolic of the movement. We had the privilege of transforming three of our walls located in New York , Chicago , and Atlanta into inspiring murals. Our in-house Art Studio team enlisted two well-known artists in the Black creative community from Atlanta and Chicago who took on designing the murals with the intention of subverting the narrative and highlighting Black joy, instead of trauma. In the West Loop of Chicago, artist Joe Cujo designed the mural with a message focused on supporting each other and working together through the complicated issues that we all face. He notes, “Together we ALL have the strength to live a free and colorful life”. Joe is an accomplished fine artist and graphic designer with exploits and achievements both locally and abroad. In New York City , Doritos sought artist Megan Lewis to design a mural for our Harlem wall unit. The design focuses primarily on figurative imagery that has become her staple aesthetic as it has allowed her to express frustrations or prideful moments in Black Culture through the lens of an evolving Black woman. The design included a Snapcode hand painted onto the mural allowing passersby to interact with the mural by bringing the elements of the artwork to life. All three mural activations were designed by Black change makers who inspire their communities and change the lives of those around them. We are proud to have participated in using our services to collaborate with Joe and Quake to deliver a design that can evoke change and inspire the cities the murals live in. Our in-house Overall Creative team enlisted two well-known artists in the Black creative community from Atlanta and Chicago who took on designing the murals with the intention of subverting the narrative and highlighting Black joy, instead of trauma. We had the privilege of working with native Atlanta artist Quake who designed a piece that pays homage to the nostalgic Atlanta of the artist’s childhood. The artwork features a woman (fun fact: it’s his wife) holding up the famous symbol “Peace up, A-Town down” a slogan made popular by Atlanta-based artists, Usher & Lil John. Quake wanted to keep the true soul of Atlanta intact as the city has progressed over time. Within his work, Quake’s main goal was to develop art that invokes unexpected feelings from within the viewer and his artistic expression stems from the gritty, yet sensual nature of life pertaining to societal issues and current events. • ON RUNNING, SOFT WINS

ON RUNNING < Back SOFT WINS Overview Service Outdoor Advertising, Special FX industry Apparel & Accessories markets Los Angeles Wall(s) 1 Wall impressions 600K+ When On Running tapped us for their latest campaign, they weren’t just looking for a mural; they wanted to go the extra mile. Lucky for them, we lace up for that kind of challenge. Right off the Venice Beach boardwalk , we hand painted a powerful image of three-time marathon winner Hellen Obirir caught mid-moment, feet in the air, back against the floor, face laser-focused. But we didn’t stop at the paint. Using our in-house Paint Lab services, we broke the plane, literally. We fabricated a 2D extension of the runner’s feet in the On Running Cloudsurfer Collection shoes, allowing them to go above the wall. It added dimension, movement, and a jolt of surprise that turned passersby into spectators, snapping photos and stopping in their tracks. This is the magic of OOH extensions. They don’t just enhance a mural, they transform it into an experience. By adding sculptural buildouts, brands can leap off the wall (just like this runner) and into real-world attention. It’s an eye-catching, buzz-generating way to stretch the canvas and the campaign. The result? Over 600K+ impressions from foot traffic alone. No algorithms, no skipping. Just real eyeballs on a real wall. From permits to production to installation, our team managed every detail with the kind of precision that mirrors On Running’s own performance-driven ethos. This wasn’t just a mural. It was a full-on OOH activation, designed to move. And a perfect example of how we don’t just paint walls, we build platforms for bold ideas. Previous Next

  • The Beekman, GFI Capital

The Beekman < Back GFI Capital Overview Service Commercial Signage industry Real Estate markets New York Wall(s) 1 Wall impressions Nestled in the heart of New York City’s new hot spot, the Lower Manhattan District, is a new boutique hotel and residential tower, The Beekman , developed by GFI Capital . The unique set of buildings has raised the bar for luxury living. The lower landmark structure holds the hotel and dates back to 1881; it’s one of Manhattan’s first skyscrapers. This nine-story historical site had been nearly abandoned and long forgotten. For its transformation, the hotel was carefully renovated and restored over the course of two years. The interior is beyond impressive, starting from retained historical features to the atrium’s majestic pyramidal skylight. In contrast, connected to the hotel is a modern soaring residential high rise with concrete facades, one which as a blank canvas begged for as much love as the rest of the edifices had been shown. The Overall Murals team’s expertise in large scale paintings led them to spearhead this noteworthy project. Suspended nearly 600 feet in the air, amongst Manhattan’s tallest constructions, on several platforms, the crew took in the view while tattooing a cold grey concrete wall with a special concrete stain, promised to last forever. The result, which was designed by the buildings’ design firm GKV Architects, is a massive, over 150 foot tall optical illusion. The trompe l’oeil’s technical shadows and highlights of white and grey tones on the south wall gives dimension to an otherwise flat facade; mirroring the northern facing wall with its actual columns and cross beams. However, upon comparing the two, it’s hard to tell the difference. Previous Next
